hey quick question,.. i love my apsc,.. i dont want full frame, should i get the 7d ii for wedding and more or just get a 6d???
good job tony i am your big fan…
A full frame camera always makes the image quality better in natural light because the dynamic range is better. It doesn't make sense to get a crop sensor and then spend the money on lenses you can't even use with your crop sensor because the really sharp bulky glasses are made for full frame cameras.
I really agree for this video. I mostly shoot still subject with natural light I think 6D will perform good enough for me and save my money a lots.
your the first SERIOUS pro to affirm my T3i !!! it gets some hate….i love my baby..light and durable, and reliable..unless some of the lens..which break
great summary. Thank you so much!
good video but, more importantly…what is your dogs name at 15:15?
Best comparison video I have ever watched.
Unfortunately you Have talked much less about the 5d ii than the others.
Hi tony can I ask what software do you use to show the difference in two images thanks
well sense I already have a video camera, I don't really need a DSLR with good video recording.
I have a t3i already and it's my first camera ever so I'm going to keep it for sentimental value. But sense my eye has been trained, I think it's time to upgrade to the 6D.
Thanks for this. Very well presented and done so without bias. Much appreciated!
It really worth the time watching it. Thanks!
So Helpfull Video
all i have to say is t3i with magic lantern , the end lol
When you were comparing the images of the house at night, the red colouring was from coma around the bright lights, because on the right hand side of the house, it was blue
I'm trying to upgrade from my Canon T5 and this video really helped me. Thanks Tony & Chelsea!
luxurious
makes me so happy i just spent 300 bucks on the t3i
Thank you so much for this video. It helps me to understand what’s really the difference between these cameras. Awesome. Love the 6d
Awesome video! I just picked up a NEW Canon 6D at Best Buy for $850 (body only)! If you had a recommendation for a single lens for portrait photography what would it be?
"If you do natural light portraits, invest in flashes instead" lol 😛
I really like comparison videos like this! I currently use a T3i (my beginner camera) and I am looking to upgrade. Videos like this really help! I would LOVE to see an updated comparison that includes the 6D Mark II and 80D in the mix with the 5D Mark III and 7D Mark II, as they all seem to be in the same 1k-2k price point depending on what sales can be found.
Can't see the comparison because the "subscribe" button is on top of the camera names.
EVEN 5 years later , this is a very revealing and significant video. I am a pro photographer with over 20 years of experience and totally agree with what is said here.l
Awesome video. Well done thanks
I just picked up a 6d brand new for 1000 bucks. I absolutely love it. It's low light performance is outstanding. I know this video is a few years old so prices aren't the same. But B&H still has the 6d on sale if anyone is looking.
Your wife is beautiful but people look so gross in hd… I miss the smoothness of older formats. also at 14:00 that was two different kids right? or was it the camera stretching the one face out? i think it was the same kid but it looked like two different people.
good info really helped me.
I've noticed that you indeed let the 5Dmk2 out of the list,at the end.
Can anyone confirm for me, that if I do focus + recompose for shallow DOF (at F2, F1.8, F1.4 etc) that I risk moving out of the focal plane, and thus creating blurry images?
5d mark ii or 6d?
Nice review, how did you get the iso 102400 39:49,my 6d only reaches 25600🤔
Watch this in 2018
You’re videos are SUPER helpful! Bless you 👏🏼👏🏼
This is lovely. And hilarious! I don't think I've ever seen another one of your videos where Chelsea was in the background! This must have been a very, very short period of time! Keep up the good work.
I own an 80D and was interested in an older/used Canon full frame camera so I can use most of the good glass I already own.
It was extremely confusing (to me) due to all the models available, but this video has clarified and simplified my choice…
This video is an obvious labor of love and patience. I thank you for this incredible effort, as this is the very best of any comparison video, old or new..!!
Yes, I own your fine book and recommend it to everyone. Thanks again..
One of the best and my single favourite photography channel. Good work! Keep it up. Hey what do you think about buying up a 5D MK II for around $440 CAD+ the [not so] nifty fifty 50mm f/1.4L UDM for around $400 to start with? I shoot at night and I am a "bokeh whore" so would prefer to be able to stop up a ton to around 1.8 – 1.4. Thanks for the awesome videos guys!
Hi from future – Please ring Canon in 4-5 years time and shout 'dual slots in the 'R' ' continuously.
Chelsea there in the back flipping her eyes 😀
I am watching this in 2018 priudly holding a T3i
“Penultimate “ is the second last. So, what’s the “ultimate” choice?
6d
Very informative… I got exactly what I was looking for in terms of comparison with those cameras 📷 …😎😎
where to get the book?
Good Vid. Tn'C always good see how my 6D stacks up with other Canon models BTW nice Cantinflas mustachio
