  1. So a may be a little late to the party on this video, but as we've just seen, who gives a crap… I want some advice. I am trying to become a social media influencer on Instagram, with my two accounts alexpaul.main and imready2drone. The first is my photography account and the latter is my role in an idealised Instagram franchise. Digressing onto my YouTube… I love it, filming, edits, sound FX's, finding music, colour grading, photoshopping… you name it. But my parents keep on trying to give me shitty advice about, "oh its just a hobby" and "you'll loose interest". I'll say now… I've never really had an interest in anything, apart from girls and sports (and maths), but thats besides the point. I now know that this is a serious interest of mine that I want to take as far as possible, but my parents continue to judge me for my efforts and interests in Instagram and YouTube. Do I show them this video to prove a point about who it is thats giving me the advice?

  2. This is one of the few videos where I didn't disagree with Gary on "something". I wholeheartedly agree with him. I am just now going after what I want as a creator but I have always gone after what I wanted in other areas of my life regardless of what others have said or thought.

  3. This is exactly why I started vlogging. I also feel so far behind, because I had surgeries that kept me from getting out there. Cabin fever = serious creative overflow! like a creative monster got released after being caged for 8months! This IS my visual diary… I will still make a vlog about my leg, because it's affected my entire life and I'm finally winning at 28. #liveyourbestlife

Just realised that makes me sound pumped as well (I think)… it's quite shouty, not? hehehe

  4. I really appreciate Gary Vee man, this dudes advice is so genuine and motivational it's genuinely inspiring.
Peter my dude amazing job on this video. I subscribe to your channel because you know what youre doing, like Gary says pay attention to who you're getting advice from.
    Much love dude.

  5. I watched this when it came out, and just pulled it up again. Getting vulnerable here — I'm 39 and I'm doing some things professionally that I kinda like. 15 months ago, I was in a job that I hated, so that's progress. But I still feel like I haven't quite found "it" yet. The impulse is to be scared by this, to be knocking on 40 and to look back at all the times I wanted to do something, but I didn't go for it. But a part of me also believes that it's never too late to start. Love this video. Thanks for making it, Peter. Impact across time and space, my man.

  6. ive been working on youtube for 10 years and every time I reach a bit of success I always listened to what others had to say on how i should run my channel, i gained and lost supporters constantly because I didnt believe in what I was already doing, this video got me pumped to get back in the game! thanks Gary and Peter!
