  1. Alway nice and fun to see the C&C, o the picture of the windmill (33 min) is made in the Netherlands. No special program, plugins used to get the color, only lightroom is used to only adjust the default things (no color temperature). It was a morning with fog and a bit of sun, did post 1 other picture of this windmill on the facebook readers page (B&W version).

  2. Hi Guys
The sassy kid Matthew is mine, thanks for the critique. I used the flash on this pix because the area was so dark and the I didn't trust the camera. I love how you lighten the background, much better. I just purchased CS5 and looking forward to sending you more stunning photos in the future.
Happy Holidays to you, your family and the SDP Community.

  3. a) "Open focus expose" (or "Open exposed focus") – naming for photographic aperture, focus, exposure steps, but also the generosity of those who submit their pictures and for your sharing of insights
… so tempting to add an accent for "open focus exposé".

    b) "ABCD – Always Balance, Crop & Desaturate" – you spend you time balancing, cropping and seeing if looks better in b&w, some videos more than others 🙂

I really appreciate these videos mixing product news with some beautiful images and interesting commentary.

  4. Tony and Chelsea I think you two are doing a great service to the photography community. I as one value your opinion and strive to become a better photograph by watching your videos. I think your going to get haters no matter what you say or do. I'm sure you've heard the phrase "There is a (blank) born every minute of the day"  I was brought up that if you don't have anything nice to say don't say it at all. Unfortunately today generation doesn't see think that way. Today's moral fiber is in a downward spiral and has been for years. So in closing don't swear the insignificant!

  5. Tony and Chelsea, thank you once again for your helpful critiques of everyone's images. Mine is the "gritty" canoe on the water. It was indeed taken with a camera phone, (too nervous to take my D7100 in a canoe) and then processed using NIK or OnOne Software, can't recall which. Love the weekly critiques.

  6. Hi Guys, the hummingbird pic was the one that has commandeered the feeder on my front porch. So sometimes he lets me get real close. So I waited for "the Golden Hour" and caught him in that golden glow. and in that set of shots I finally got the one clear shot! 🙂 its my profile pic. Oh and thank you guys again for doing this for all of us out here, your the best

  7. Hate that hair style, Chelsea looks like her entire head was squeezed by a Bus Door, no offense, BUT GET RID OF IT!…..That beard if yours if you wanna call it that Tony, makes the top of your head blown out!….You look like a Martian Cartoon…..where is that change channel button!…..
