When you have random people in your vlog, do you always get a signed release form? Do you have it on your phone?

Dude! Dave Maze and McKinnon have reviewed the Switchpod. It's lightweight, easily compacted, and made for vlogging. I've held it and its waaaay better than the Pod. Unfortunately it's not out on production yet, but it should be soon. Here's the link to an interview with the creator of it if you're interested:

I've primarily used it with a tablet for my child riding in the car though, I haven't tried it extensively with my mirrorless camera + a lens.

Nail on the head with the whole ‘immortalizing your memories’. I think it’s one of the main subconscious reasons I decided to start a photography business. The mind stays healthy for only so long! It’ll be great to have these memories. Clearly proper backup solutions are important, haha.

The AF system on the EOS R just doesn't seem to be nearly as good as the Sony a7iii or even the Nikon Z 6. Picture quality on the EOS R looks great, but the constant focus hunting and breathing drives me crazy.

Have you thought about getting the Bluetooth BR-E1 remote from Canon. Its very handy to start and stop videos from remote. I know you can use the Canon App to do the same but the remote is much more convenient in my opinion. Also any chance you will start using the new Rode Tiny wireless kit soon instead of the Micro or the Mike Go on the R.

I totally agree on the family thing. As ‘TheBeggFamily Antics’, there’s only a small portion of our family who want to be seen on the Internet. Also I’m very aware of the 13 yr old suggested age limit, so don’t film any grandkids under 13 (all except our Joshua, who loves to be on camera!). Its a minefield. Christine my wife is naturally shy, so is only just starting to take more part in the daily vlogs.
